Job description

Summary
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Transportation Control Analyst at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a one-of-a-kind premier campus featuring four major venues within one park: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena.
The Transportation Control Analyst combines the former Cashier Coordinator responsibilities with transportation control and reporting functions. Under the direction of parking and transportation leadership, this role is responsible for the supervision and coordination of gate operations and frontline staff in a fully cashless environment. The position supports compliance monitoring, operational controls, reporting, and coordination of personnel, systems, and workflows while ensuring all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed. The Transportation Control Analyst also serves as a liaison between operations, finance, systems, and event stakeholders to support efficient and accurate event operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily gate operations and frontline gate staff during events and routine operations.
  • Explain, enforce, and monitor compliance with all company transaction-processing, access control, and operational policies and procedures in a cashless environment.
  • Support proper use of automated parking systems, scanners, access credentials, and cashless transaction platforms.
  • Monitor gate activity, transaction data, exception reports, voids, overrides, and system outputs to ensure accuracy and adherence to established controls.
  • Assist with oversight and coordination of transportation and parking operations during events.
  • Coordinate gate staffing levels, assignments, and coverage based on event requirements and operational projections.
  • Identify, document, and escalate transaction discrepancies, procedural deviations, or operational inefficiencies to management.
  • Assist with audits, reviews, and surveillance of parking gates, access points, and transaction activity.
  • Collect, organize, and validate transportation and parking data from multiple systems and operational sources.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and event-based operational, staffing, and control reports.
  • Review reports for accuracy and completeness and submit finalized reports to management as required.
  • Track labor usage, hours worked, overtime, and other non-cash operational metrics.
  • Maintain logs, documentation, and control records related to gate operations, transportation activity, and system usage.
  • Serve as a support liaison for automated parking systems, prepaid parking reports, and cashless parking software platforms.
  • Communicate event information and operational requirements to supervisors, event managers, and other departments.
  • Participate in meetings and assist with process improvement initiatives related to parking, transportation, and gate operations.
  • Drive on behalf of the company as required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all company policies and applicable laws.
  • Provides day-to-day oversight and coordination of gate staff and frontline personnel.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with training, assigning work, monitoring performance, and addressing operational issues.
  • Escalates disciplinary matters, investigations, and compliance concerns to management in accordance with established procedures.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Organize and prioritize work from event overviews and task lists to meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Be proficient in sign and graphic programs.
  • Handle multiple projects and assignments.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Position is routinely required to work outdoors and is exposed to the elements (heat, rain, etc.)
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Transportation, Business, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Entry-level to early-career experience in parking, transportation, venue operations, cashier coordination, or similar operational roles preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently while exercising judgement and initiative.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced high-volume event environment

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, email, and operational or parking system software.

Other Qualifications
  • Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; stand for extended periods during events; talk and hear. The position may require lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working indoors or outdoors as required.
