Job description

Location: Carrollton, TX

Type: Internship (PartTime or FullTime)

Duration: 8–10 Weeks

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is a Texasbased healthcare organization providing skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and senior care services. We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented HR Intern to support daily HR operations. This handson internship provides exposure to talent acquisition, onboarding, HR compliance, employee relations, HRIS administration, and general HR support in a collaborative and fastpaced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 

• Strong communication, organizational, and timemanagement skills

• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Interest in learning HR processes, employment law basics, and HR best practices

Essential Functions

• Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews

• Support new hire onboarding, including preparing paperwork and organizing orientation sessions

• Maintain and update employee records, HR files, and HRIS databases 

• Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws

• Assist with internal communications and employee engagement initiatives

• Participate in HR projects, audits, and process improvement activities as needed
