Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Electrical Testing Supervisor. This position is ONSITE Monday -Friday 8:00m-5:00pm at our Omaha Nebraska Eaton facility.
The Testing Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all electrical testing activities within the assembly areas to ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role provides direct supervision to electrical testers, delivers hands-on technical support for product and component issues, and drives the development and execution of manufacturing quality procedures, training programs, and communication processes.
The Testing Supervisor balances tactical daily execution with strategic improvement initiatives through close cross-functional collaboration, while planning and overseeing the use, calibration, and maintenance of electrical test and process control equipment. Acting as the Site Responsible Person (SRP) for the Electrical Safety Program, this position ensures compliance with MESH policies and promotes continuous improvement in electrical safety, product quality, and production reliability through data-driven analysis and statistical process control.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you'll do:
In this function you will:
• Provide direct supervision to- electrical testers within the assembly areas as assigned.
• Provide technical support as needed to team for product/component related issues.
• Develop and monitor manufacturing quality procedures, standards, training activities, and communication programs.
• Think and act both tactically and strategically to meet production demands, solve issues and make improvements. Accomplishing this through daily cross-functional team collaboration.
• Plan and coordinate the use, calibration, maintenance, and application of all electrical test equipment and process control equipment within the company.
• Ensure that production demands are met by your department and that team leaders understand their roles in the upkeep of order fulfillment.
• Be the Site Responsible Person (SRP) for the Electrical Safety Program to ensure compliance to MESH policies and drive continuous improvements to eliminate and reduce Electrical Safety hazards within the site.
• Oversee the collection and analyze statistical production data to assess and monitor product quality and reliability.
• Implement statistical process control on the recorded test data. Collects data from the test fixtures and makes the test data available to the Quality team for analysis, and to other team members as required to meet project success factors
• Maintain frequent contact with management, engineers, technicians, and other company personnel to discuss and resolve quality reliability.
• Visit customer locations or equipment installations on-site to provide information about company equipment and mediate issues related to customer satisfaction when necessary.
• Maintain a safe working environment within assigned plant areas to protect employees from injury and damage or misuse of company equipment and property.
• Participate in and provide support for a variety of safety committees, environmental programs, and related activities as needed to ensure a safe and clean work place for employees.
• Supplier Quality process, including the plant quality hold process.
• Ensure that customer requirements are addressed including; selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventative actions, product design and development.
• All Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior test experience in electrical industry; or related product,manufacturing or industrial experience.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Omaha NE. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and methods including TCP/IP, CANBUS, Serial, I2C, and JTAG
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code Safety Requirements
  • Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality processes (i.e., ISO9001 etc.)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • Technical understanding of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements
  • Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic and LabView, SQL, Access, Active Server Pages, Test stand, REST, and Python is desired

Skills:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have a strong aptitude to interpret and design solutions with minimal information
• Must have interpersonal Skills
