Pay Range
$87,500.00-$120,300.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position Overview:
The purpose of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor's role is to oversee the electrical maintenance department responsible for all equipment, property, buildings, and facilities within a manufacturing plant. The incumbent in this position will also be responsible for supervising electrical maintenance personnel and supporting the operations of production, engineering and safety departments.
Your Day-to-Day:
  • Act as technical expert in regards to Electro-mechanical equipment
  • Supervise, set direction, and delegate daily work of assigned hourly electrical employees to support the plant goals of safety, environmental and production
  • Lead safety process, training for crews and accident investigations
  • Monitor safety and environmental processes and compliance
  • Identify, isolate and facilitate resolution of maintenance performance issues such as quality of work and work efficiency
  • Troubleshoot process equipment operational problems and maintain, repair, and upgrade plant equipment
  • Identify and execute ways to track metrics of performance and improve production levels of employees
  • Share knowledge and business experience with Plant management team
  • Manage projects including obtaining contractor quotes, design help and directing contractor crews
  • Facilitate training of maintenance personnel and create work instructions
  • Identify, implement, and maintain best maintenance and safety practices
  • Conduct daily and monthly shift meetings
  • Maintain and enforce good housekeeping strategies and methodologies
  • Oversee the maintenance scheduling and work order system
  • Assist in managing storeroom inventory of electrical components
  • Manage hourly time and attendance process
  • Assist with MRO purchasing issues through maintenance software
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:
  • High School/Technical School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience in an electrical maintenance role
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing an industrial maintenance hourly workforce
  • Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance with demonstrated success in increasing equipment reliability
  • Working knowledge of plant systems with the ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions
  • Thorough knowledge of high, medium and low voltage systems/control systems and instrumentation, and general industrial electrical
  • Working knowledge of control system networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet and EtherNet/IP).
  • Honeywell DCS troubleshooting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge with instrumentation and control to include pressure, temperature, level, position: analog, digital, radar, etc.
  • Experience with servers, ethernet, fiber connections and security systems in data management
  • Keeps familiar with latest types of electrical control, motor AC/DC Drive, (PLC) Programmable Logic Controller, (HMI) Human Machine Interfaces and industrial lighting equipment.
  • Configure, commission, troubleshoot and startup of AC/DC Drive (HMI) Human Machine Interface, (PLC) Programmable Logic Controller or (DCS) Distributive Control System current and future installed based with minimal assistance from engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell software (Logix5000, NetWorx, RSLinx and Factorytalk Studio)
  • Understanding of control loops, movement and replacement of instruments and additions and deletions to the system
  • Proven teambuilding skills including facilitation and team member participation
  • Participate in corrective action plan development, implementation and follow-up as technical problems occur.
  • Evaluate and develop improved techniques to reduce downtime and improve the life of equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD drawing interpretation
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside normal work schedule
  • Manages a staff of hourly employees, sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminating.
  • Minimal travel required (0 - 10 days per year).
  • Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds.
