EHS Manager

Location: York, PA

Pay: $80-100k/yr.

Description:

  • The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and programs that ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a discrete heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar credential preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
  • US Citizenship at time of hire

Job Duties:

Safety Program Management

  • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, DEP, etc.).
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal, air and water permits, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain records and submit required environmental reports.

Training & Communication

  • Deliver safety training for new hires and ongoing employee education.
  • Promote safety awareness through campaigns, meetings, and signage.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all EHS-related matters.

Regulatory & Reporting

  • Maintain OSHA logs and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
  • Stay current with changes in EHS laws and regulations.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Coordinate drills and ensure readiness for fire, chemical, or weather-related emergencies.
