What this job involves:
We are seeking an EHS Manager for our Work Dynamics business to join one of JLL's key global accounts. As a senior member of the JLL Americas EHS team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing EHS programs across multiple account locations. The most important objective of this role is ensuring that our employees and subcontractors return home safely at the end of their working day. You will demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental issues, ensuring that the JLL EHS Management System and Standards are applied across all areas of responsibility while promoting a positive, proactive EHS culture. This highly visible role operates in a fast-paced environment focused on ensuring critical stakeholders receive timely, relevant information and appropriate counsel for EHS matters. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, fostering a Culture of Safety while managing regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across a complex, multi-site portfolio.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Implement Global Work Dynamics EHS strategic objectives and ensure effective operational relevance within the area of responsibility, managing and reducing operational risks by providing guidance and advice on EHS risk management at all levels while providing technical advice on relevant EHS issues and communicating notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and client occupancy
  • Complete and maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations, create and maintain a regulatory compliance register for each location, and ensure building-related risk assessments are in place in line with legal requirements and Client Global Risk Control Standards while identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the account team in identifying practical, cost-effective solutions and controls for EHS risks
  • Develop the account training matrix, manage and assign online training requirements, and provide training and presentations as needed on specific topics applicable to account employees while ensuring that accidents, injuries, near misses, good catches, and other events are captured and the data is managed and reported
  • Manage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the account and serve as the Account's Administrator for the JLL AIMS (Accident & Incident Management System), ensuring accurate and timely compliance documentation
  • Foster a Culture of Safety across the Account by leading, managing, and developing the Account EHS teams, maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational EHS management, and proactively developing and managing client relationships to ensure expected service levels are achieved and delivering exceptional quality of service as reflected by client feedback
  • Participate with operating sites as needed to lead or support investigations of EHS events, perform analysis of root cause(s), support and track the implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share lessons learned across account operations
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of JLL Regional EHS operational controls including processes, standards, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with EHS obligations and JLL's EHS aspirations while assisting in the assurance of compliance with all EHS Sections of the Operational Compliance Program (OCP)
  • Implement EHS strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL's contractors and supply chain vendors, ensuring third-party vendors maintain compliance with JLL Work Dynamics and account EHS Standards at all times while supporting environmental compliance efforts as specified in the JLL/client Master Service Agreement (MSA)/Statement of Work (SOW).

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs with demonstrated success in operational environments
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field (degree may be waived if you have more than 7 years' experience or hold EHS professional certification)
  • Strong track record of EHS management experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients across multiple locations
  • Experience managing EHS for multiple sites across multiple countries with a strong understanding of the EHS regulatory environment in major markets
  • Appropriate recognized professional EHS qualifications and memberships demonstrating commitment to professional development
  • Proven record of success with project management skills for balancing multi-site activities and managing competing priorities
  • Broad-based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations and internationally recognized EHS Management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Management system development, implementation, and auditing experience with proven ability to drive compliance and continuous improvement
  • Experience implementing EHS technology platforms and data management tools across multiple countries and regions
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to deal with people at all organizational levels and translate complex EHS concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proven record of making presentations and providing effective training to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to effectively and cooperatively interface with peers, colleagues, and clients while establishing trust and credibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience or hold EHS professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, CRSP) for Senior Manager level positions
  • Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio
  • Practical experience of problem-solving EHS issues in a dynamic and diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes
  • An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management-able to operate effectively in a matrix structure with influence across multiple reporting lines
  • Strong business acumen and a strong orientation to goals and measurable results with ability to connect EHS performance to business outcomes
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and ability to employ intelligent flexibility in addressing complex challenges
  • Strong cultural awareness with unwavering ethical standards, drives excellence, and innately collaborative approach to team building and client service.

Additional Requirements: Periodic travel to various operations sites to investigate events or problems, as well as travel to various meetings may be required (estimated 40% to 20% travel).
