Job description

Summary Research and Documentation Analyst, Remote The Research and Documentation Analyst supports project execution by leading research, documentation, and sustainment activities aligned with software user interface development and lifecycle management. This role ensures that system functionality, documentation, and sustainment strategies are fully integrated with operational requirements, regulatory guidance, and stakeholder expectations, particularly within military systems environments. Responsibilities Support project planning and execution by researching policies, procedures, and technical documentation to inform user interface design, development, and testing activities.

Translate regulatory, policy, and technical requirements into actionable inputs that shape system functional requirements and user experience. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholdersโ€”including contractors, system users, and maintainersโ€”to gather requirements, document sustainment needs, and support the development of operational and sustainment strategies. Conduct analysis of equipment and system data to inform lifecycle management decisions and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Lead the development, review, validation, and continuous improvement of project documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and accuracy of technical content. Contribute to deliverables such as operations manuals, maintenance manuals, and technical instructions, ensuring readiness for publication and implementation. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED and 10+ years' experience OR Bachelor's degree and 6+ years' experience working with, sustaining, and supporting military equipment like aerial delivery, weapons, organizational clothing, chemical/biological equipment, and other soldier-related items. Experience conducting documentation research activities (e.g., policies, procedures, regulations, etc.) to benefit the sustainment and/or enhancement of a software user interface. Experience developing business process workflows and wire diagrams in support of a software solution (e.g., application, website, etc.) Background check with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong proficiency in project support tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deliverables, and meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment. Effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and coordination skills across technical and operational teams.

Strong organizational and documentation management capabilities, with attention to detail and quality assurance. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team structure. Willingness to travel as required to support project objectives and stakeholder engagement.
