Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO). Come Join our growing team today!

The Document Control Specialist will perform operational duties in support of regulatory, security, and industry practice compliance requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating the verification, approval, and processing of document revisions while ensuring all documentation activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards.

This position will work onsite in Arlington, VA.

Compensation for this position will be based on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. Final salary will be determined after consideration of all relevant factors in accordance with company policy.

  • Document Control Specialist 3 - $54,860 - $77,860

  • Document Control Specialist 4 - $62,246 - $88,923

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support compliance efforts for regulatory, security, and industry practice documentation.

  • Coordinate the review, verification, and approval of document updates and revisions.

  • Track all document activity to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and process efficiency.

  • Maintain version control and manage document archives to ensure audit readiness.

  • Provide documentation support to the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and related stakeholders.

  • Ensure all document control processes follow established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Document Control Specialist 3 requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

  • Document Control Specialist 4 requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

  • Strong knowledge of DoD Manual 5200.01 and other pertinent DoD Manuals.

  • Experience supporting compliance, document control, or information governance functions preferred.

  • Strong understanding of both general and detailed aspects of document control and its practical application to routine problems and situations.

  • Ability to apply established methods and standards to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Clearance: Must possess an active Secret Clearance.
