The Docketing Specialist will play a crucial role in the litigation group by performing all phases of updating and maintaining the Firm's litigation docket and will ensure that docketed events are timely and accurately processed, using rules-based docketing software, and complying with risk management guidelines. Client Details This role is with a full-service, national law firm with over 450 attorneys across 18 offices and specializes across corporate, transactional, and litigation work. This role can be based in any of their office locations. Description Maintain and update the docketing system to ensure all deadlines are accurately recorded and tracked. Review and process incoming correspondence to identify relevant deadlines and actions. Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to provide timely updates on case statuses and deadlines. Generate and distribute reports to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures. Assist with electronic filing of legal documents in various courts and jurisdictions. Monitor changes in court rules and procedures, updating internal processes as necessary. Provide training and support to team members on the docketing system and related procedures. Ensure data integrity and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Profile A successful Docketing Specialist should have: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred (extensive docketing experience will be considered in place of educational preferences). Minimum of f5 years of litigation docketing experience within a law firm setting. Experience using rules-based docketing software such as Milana, e-Dockets, CompuLaw or CourtAlert; Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Knowledge of court procedures and rules across various jurisdictions. Excellent organizational and communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
