District Secretary

CCWD is seeking a District Secretary to join the General Management team, reporting to the Executive Management Analyst and working onsite at the District Center in Concord, California. The District Secretary serves in a highly visible and trusted role, performing a wide range of administrative, clerical, and coordination functions in support of the Contra Costa Water District's five-member Board of Directors. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective administration of Board business, maintaining official records, supporting compliance with public meeting requirements, and facilitating communication between the Board, CCWD staff, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary support for scheduling meetings, tracking, and organizing travel arrangement for a five-member Board of Directors.
- Manage board meeting agendas through Granicus software, developing action minutes, and public positing of bi-monthly agenda packets.
- Serve as official recorder and maintain tracking for all Contra Costa Water District contracts.
Training: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college level secretarial coursework. Experience: Five (5) years of advanced level secretarial experience, including at least two (2) year of experience preparing agendas and minutes and functioning as a recording secretary for public meetings. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California driver's license to be maintained throughout employment.
