Job Title: Dispatcher

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00

Location: Irwindale, CA

Available Job Schedules:

  • Tuesday - Saturday: Day Shift (8AM - 4:30PM)
  • Wednesday - Sunday: Swing Shift (3PM - 11:30PM)

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Overview

Absolute International Security is seeking a professional Dispatcher to provide day-to-day support to the Operations department. This role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining security guard schedules, dispatching security personnel to client sites, responding to staffing needs, and ensuring adequate coverage for all assigned locations. This role serves as a central communication point between security guards, security supervisors, clients, and management to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Staffing

  • Create, maintain, and update employee schedules to ensure all client posts are adequately staffed.
  • Fill open shifts through resourceful allocation of available, qualified, and trained security professionals while minimizing overtime assignment.
  • Monitor attendance, time-off requests, and employee availability.
  • Coordinate schedule changes and communicate updates to security personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and contractual staffing requirements.

Dispatch Operations

  • Dispatch available, qualified, and trained security professionals to client sites as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and staffing shortages.
  • Use available company technology platforms to ensure quality control with security personnel performance.
  • Maintain communication with security personnel via phone, text, email, and other company communication platforms.
  • Document critical security personnel activiies, incidents, and operational updates.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and employee / client contact information.
  • Prepare staffing and scheduling reports for management.
  • Verify timesheets and assist with attendance-related payroll matters.
  • Monitor and appropriately respond to daily operational logs and shift coverage reports.
  • Support security supervisors and management.ย 

Customer & Employee Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security personnel regarding schedules and assignments.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding staffing needs, updates, and service requests.
  • Address scheduling conflicts and employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist with onboarding new security personnel into scheduling systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of security industry or related field experience required.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, dispatching, security operations, or high volume workforce coordination preferred.
