STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER - Accessibility Services Coordinator Assistant
Job Classification
Position summary
The Accessibility Services Coordinator Assistant supports the Accessibility Services Coordinator in providing accommodations and academic support services to students with disabilities. This position assists with accommodated testing, confidential records management, student outreach, intervention support, assistive technology, and general office operations. The assistant helps ensure timely, equitable, and confidential delivery of services in accordance with university policies and federal accessibility regulations.
Qualifications summary
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and committed to supporting student success. The individual must demonstrate sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, possess excellent communication skills, and work effectively with diverse student populations.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. Duties and responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and proctoring accommodated exams.
  • Maintain confidential student records and documentation in accordance with FERPA and university policies.
  • Prepare and organize accommodation files and related documentation.
  • Assist with student outreach, follow-up communication, and intervention efforts.
  • Provide support with student success coaching, including time management, organization, and study skills.
  • Assist students with basic use of assistive technology and accessibility software.
  • Respond to student and faculty inquiries regarding Disability Services procedures.
  • Assist with office operations, scheduling appointments, and maintaining testing environments.
  • Support special projects, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accessibility Services Coordinator or Director of the Student Success Center.

Supervisory responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred,
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to learn ADA, Section 504, FERPA, and university accommodation procedures.
