Director of Authorizations – Smilestones ABA Billing

Tandem Billing


Location: Hollywood, FL — Hybrid
Pay: $25–$28 per hour
Position: Full-Time

Tandem Billing is an ABA billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) company providing billing and authorization services to ABA therapy providers.

We are hiring an experienced Director of Authorizations to lead our authorization department and manage our growing authorization team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the authorization team

  • Oversee the full ABA authorization process

  • Manage initial and ongoing ABA authorizations

  • Track authorization expirations, submissions, and approvals

  • Follow up with insurance companies on pending authorizations

  • Troubleshoot authorization issues and denials

  • Train, support, and hold authorization team members accountable

  • Ensure all authorization deadlines are met

  • Work closely with billing, clinical, and management teams

Requirements:
  • ABA authorization experience is a MUST

  • Strong knowledge of ABA billing and insurance authorizations

  • Previous director, supervisor, or management experience

  • Experience managing a team

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong team player

  • Must be located in or able to work in the Hollywood, FL area

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment

Pay:

$25–$28 per hour, based on experience.
