Evening RN Supervisor With a Generous Sign on Bonus

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Evening RN Supervisor to join our team at Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Topsfield, Massachusetts. As an RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall clinical operations and optimal quality of care for the patients. You will follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies, and maintain established standards of practice, including nursing policies and procedures, set forth by the facility.

Position Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Massachusetts

  • Minimum of one year of education or experience in geriatric nursing or rehabilitation preferred

  • CPR certified

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English and follow oral and written instructions

  • Fluent knowledge of the MS Office suite and other office equipment

  • Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment

Technical Competencies:

  • Understands and upholds the Resident's Bill of Rights and holds all resident information confidential

  • Follows and complies with all State and Federal regulations and established Personnel Policies and Procedures

  • Maintains all pertinent records promptly, efficiently, and confidentially

  • Projects a professional image always

Essential Functions:

  • In collaboration with Department Head, trains department staff, (new and current) to maintain skill levels and compliance with evolving mandates

  • Exhibit leadership mentality, including tactfully diffusing difficult situations

  • Role model for the department by way of promoting compliance with facility policies and procedures

  • Reports irresolvable concerns to the department head/supervisor; may be involved with disciplinary processes

  • Administers medication and treatments according to the physician's orders

  • Assists with ordering medications

  • Transcribes, documents, and implements physician's orders

  • Collects data to assist in the nursing assessments during shift

  • Gives daily shift reports to CNAs assigned to the unit before the start of the shift

  • Review written daily assignments for each resident on the assigned unit and assures assignments are completed before end of shift

  • Gives and takes nursing reports on assigned units. Communicates essential information to appropriate parties

  • Assists Staff Development with orientation and on-the-job training for new nursing personnel as needed

  • Notifies department director, resident’s physician, and family of a change in the resident’s condition or an accident/incident involving the resident

  • Assumes any duties as assigned to provide optimal quality resident care
