Reporting directly to the CFO, this person will take increasing ownership of the month-end close, financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

While this is an Accounting Manager-level position, it is currently an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The ideal candidate enjoys being hands-on while also wanting broader exposure to the financial operations of a business.

The long-term goal is to develop this individual as a potential successor to the CFO over the next 3–5 years.

Why Join?

  • Clear Controller/CFO career path
  • 401(k) with up to 9% total company contribution
  • Tuition reimbursement and support for professional certifications
  • Strong employee tenure and history of internal promotions
  • Small-company environment with high visibility and autonomy
  • Stability and resources of a large global parent organization
  • Broad exposure across accounting, finance, operations, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in the month-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting
  • Support revenue accounting, invoicing, collections, expense reporting, and cash disbursements
  • Prepare financial reporting for corporate headquarters
  • Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial analysis
  • Support working capital and cash flow management
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
  • Partner with operations, sales, and management on financial and business initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, and U.S. GAAP
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite preferred
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on accounting environment
  • CPA, active pursuit of CPA, MBA, or MS Accounting is a plus
