Job description


We are seeking a director for a high-visibility Transfer Pricing consulting role. Directors serve as senior leaders on the Transfer Pricing team, leading complex client engagements, shaping strategic business and pricing decisions, and working directly with senior client stakeholders and firm leadership. This role offers the opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with client leadership, mentoring, and business development within a collaborative and flexible team environment.
This position is hybrid. This position can be located in Boston, Chicago or New York office.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex and high-profile transfer pricing consulting engagements, including global documentation and planning strategies; audit defense, controversy, and APA matters; and intangible property planning, valuation, restructurings, and M&A-related projects
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
  • Oversee direct functional and economic analyses to ensure alignment with actual business operations and to support practical, defensible conclusions
  • Advise clients on business restructurings, IP migration, and intercompany license arrangements
  • Direct and review sophisticated valuation and financial modeling analyses to support transfer pricing positions and planning initiatives
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying strategic opportunities for additional services
  • Originate and lead business development initiatives, including proposals, pitches, and networking
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Collaborate across practices on multidisciplinary consulting projects
  • Contribute to firm-wide thought leadership and market positioning

What we look for:
  • 6-9+ years of transfer pricing experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage economic and financial expertise to advise clients on strategic decisions and support defensible tax positions
  • Strong executive communication capability, able to present sophisticated economic analyses in a structured and clear manner
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and direct complex research and analytical work
  • Advanced Excel / modeling and quantitative skills supporting high-impact client advisory work
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, analytics, or automation to enhance analyses and streamline workflows
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlines
  • Proven client-relationship and team-leadership capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. and OECD transfer pricing principles
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into pragmatic business advice
  • Master's degree in the field of Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred but not mandatory
