To thrive as a Director of Performance Marketing, you need deep expertise in digital marketing strategy, data analytics, and campaign optimization, usually backed by a relevant degree and substantial professional experience. The Opportunity

As Iru's Director, Performance Marketing, you own paid media strategy and execution across all digital channels, directly accountable for pipeline generation. Your mandate is to build a durable, efficient paid media engine that consistently delivers against aggressive pipeline targets.

You'll operate as a performance marketing leader-setting strategy, coaching your team, and delivering executive-level insights-while staying close enough to execution to ensure quality, rigor, and results. You have the attention to detail to ensure that everything from ad creative to audience targeting strategy hits world-class standards.

You'll translate product positioning and audience insights into high-performing paid campaigns, optimize spend allocation and efficiency across channels, and ensure all paid media efforts drive measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes on Iru's core paid channels-LinkedIn, Reddit, Meta, YouTube, Google Ads, CTV, and Display.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop the performance marketing team, setting goals, coaching, and establishing accountability for consistent results; step in hands-on as needed during critical periods
  • Own paid media strategy, budget, and performance across digital channels (LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, Google Ads, Display, YouTube, CTV), defining strategies by product and buyer segment
  • Translate product positioning into targeted campaign strategies and creative, partnering with Product Marketing, Brand, and Content teams for alignment
  • Build, test, optimize, and troubleshoot campaigns directly in ad platforms; manage experimentation across messaging, creative, targeting, and bidding
  • Create repeatable campaign frameworks and optimization playbooks to scale efficiency
  • Lead creative development and testing in collaboration with Creative teams, producing high-quality ad assets and templates
  • Manage forecasting, performance tracking, budget allocation, and reporting; share insights and best practices with marketing and leadership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Marketing Ops on campaign execution, lead management, conversion, and attribution
What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years in B2B performance marketing, paid media, or growth marketing, ideally in SaaS or tech
  • 2+ years managing and developing high-performing marketing teams
  • Demonstrated ownership of pipeline and revenue outcomes through paid media channels
  • Hands-on expertise across multiple paid platforms (LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta, Reddit, programmatic display) with ability to execute directly in-channel when needed
  • Strong creative instincts and proven ability to translate messaging into compelling ad concepts across static, motion, and video formats
  • Experience partnering with creative teams and providing clear direction to produce high-performing ad creative at scale
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to model, forecast, and optimize channel performance and ROI
  • Experience managing significant paid media budgets ($3M+ annually) with demonstrated efficiency improvements
  • Comfortable moving between strategic thinking and tactical execution-able to set direction and jump into the work
