Then we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Director of Marketing-Innovation to  join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. 

Responsibilities

Your Role: 

The Director of Marketing-Innovation is responsible for setting the overall strategy for innovation in the Hefty Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the innovation strategy, identifying the future product pipeline, and developing the innovation roadmap to support profitable growth.  From concept to launch, this role works closely with direct reports and cross functional teams to deliver key project milestones.  This position will report to the Vice President, Marketing- Hefty Business Unit.

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen! 

  • Develop and lead integrated brand business plans, including innovation pipelines, launch strategies, competitive positioning, and distribution priorities.
  • Lead innovation process to assess and track ongoing new product pipeline
  • Create market research budgets, plans and expenditures in conjunction with Marketing and Consumer Insights functions
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive new product development pipeline and go-to-market strategies for the food storage category
  • Prepare and effectively communicate insightful strategies, presentations and business analysis to the executive team
  • Develop Demand Landscape and insights across portfolio and socialize across the organization to maximize use of insights and tools
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends
  • Lead crossfunctional teams across Sales, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations to align strategy with executional excellence.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing and Category Management to ensure strategies are converted into customerready stories, selling tools, and inmarket execution.
  • Continuously assess brand, category, and competitive dynamics, identifying risks and opportunities to refine priorities across the portfolio.
  • Leverage external organizations to bring in new methodologies and processes

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 10+ years of related professional and progressive Marketing experience in the CPG industry.
  • Experience with consumer insights, market research and new product development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Proficiency with retailer scan data analysis programs such as Nielsen or Circana.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel (10-15%).
