Your role at Clorox:

As the Associate Director, Marketing - Innovation, you will shape the strategic direction of Burt's Bees by identifying emerging market trends, leveraging new technologies (such as AI and advanced analytics), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that provide Clearly Superior Consumer Experiences. With a strong pulse on consumer behavior and data-driven mindset, you will identify growth opportunities and risks, implement go-to-market strategies, and translate consumer insights into actions.
This role is ideal for a proactive, consumer-focused, trends-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at cross-functional collaboration to deliver meaningful business results.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead breakthrough innovation:
  • Own and build the 3-year innovation pipeline (including where to play strategy, platform strategies, and portfolio tiering strategies) and develop opportunities to drive synergies and cost-savings initiatives within the portfolio via Design to Value
  • Lead cross-functional teamsto develop innovationpipelineby conceptualizing, prototyping, and launching innovative products in service of business goals.
  • Drive agile, digital-first processes to increase speed of outcomes:
  • Foster a culture of playing to win, accountability, external focus, competitive spirit,and growth mindset within the brand team and cross-functional teams.
  • Establish andmaintainrelationships with external partners, vendors, and industry thought leaders.
  • Own business analytics and reporting
  • Lead the budget,resourcing decisions (including cross-functional consideration), and timelines for innovation projects, prioritizing impacttobusiness.
  • Analyze market and beauty trends and consumer insightstoidentifynew opportunities for innovation.
  • Communicate progress and resultsofinnovationinitiatives to partners at all levels.
  • Execute the Strategic Growth Plan:
  • Lead execution of the 3-year consumer-led growth plan, ensuring delivery of incremental net customer sales, profit, and margin targets across both base business and innovation initiatives.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally & Influence Decisions:
  • Work closely with Sales, Insights, IBP, R&D, and agency partners to drive alignment and execution excellence. Communicate with clarity and influence to advance key priorities and inspire high-quality work.
  • Coach & Develop Talent:
  • Supportcoachingand development of junior team members and cross-functional partners, helping build future marketing leadership capability within the organization.

What we look for:

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, innovation, product development, or consumer insights
  • Experience leading consumer-insight-driven product development
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting and P&L management
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in CPG or highly consumer-centric industries - Beauty industry experience preferred
  • Background in agile or lean product development methodologies
  • Experience leading organizational or process transformation
  • MBA or relevant master's degree
  • Experience operating in matrixed or dynamically deployed teams

-Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000

-Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300

-Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500
