Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Regional Sales Director - EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) is responsible for managing all sales activity, growing revenue and market share for all Spellman High Voltage global products in EMEA. This position will drive regional sales strategy, manage customer relationships including current accounts and new business opportunities, and own the Spellman High Voltage Electronics business within the geographical area. This position is accountable to grow the business and revenue in the Region, and assumes the overall responsibility for building, nurturing and leveraging customer relationships that allow Spellman to increase customer loyalty, revenue and profitability. This individual must have the ability to partner and sell across all levels of management, positioning themselves as a dedicated resource, committed to helping the customer solve their problems, and develop their team for success. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to function independently, develop their team for success, and influence cross functionally; globally. Up to 75% travel is required, mostly within the assigned region. In addition, the Regional Director is expected to participate in committees establishing global sales business processes and growth strategies, in partnership with Business Development, Marketing and the other Regional Sales Directors.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Grow revenue and market share across multiple vertical Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) segments.
  • Oversee, motivate, manage and develop the EMEA sales team.
  • Manage accounts, target and penetrate new accounts, and deepen relationships in the region.
  • Defines all customers, competition, and markets in the region.
  • Responsible for geographical strategy, tactics, revenue, targets, and regional budget/forecast.
  • Works closely with Business Development partners to identify and progress New Business Opportunities in the region and maximize value in customer interactions.
  • Partners with Regional Sales Directors and technical Subject Matter Experts (SME)s to gain intimate customer knowledge with focus on customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
  • Tenacious and persistent salesperson with excellent managerial / interpersonal skills. Will build strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Excellent experience and mastery of sales techniques and customer service principles, with the ability to apply these principles in the field and develop and train staff in the same.
  • Ability to respond to urgent situations appropriately by prioritization and customer focus.
  • Understands decision makers and decision-making, customer buying cycles, customer supplier relationships.
  • Reports out to the organization on accounts under management and plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Essential Job Requirements:
  • BS in Business, Management, Engineering or related field (Engineering or Physics preferred. Master's degree preferred).
  • 7 years minimum experience in OEM sales of highly engineered, electronic equipment to a sophisticated, high tech customer base.
  • 5 years' experience managing a sales team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Customer Relations Management (CRM) (will cross train on Microsoft Dynamics CRM).

This role will be filled in the US or Europe. On-site, hybrid, or remote options will be considered.
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role in the US is $176,000 to $233,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
