Position Summary

The Digital Designer is responsible for the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of Taco's digital customer touchpoints and branded digital experiences. This role supports website design and updates, UX/UI execution, motion and video content, digital advertising assets, email communications, and other digital marketing initiatives across the organization. 

They accomplish this by managing multiple projects simultaneously, working within established systems and brand standards and executing projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

  • On-time delivery of assigned projects
  • Minimal rework due to errors
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize company websites and digital experiences using WordPress and front-end web technologies  
  • Create responsive digital assets including landing pages, email graphics, digital advertisements, web banners, and marketing support materials 
  • Design and develop graphics and visual assets for mobile applications and digital platforms  
  • Support UX/UI initiatives through wireframes, layouts, prototypes, user flows, and interface design  
  • Apply UX/UI best practices to improve usability, customer experience, and digital engagement across web properties and digital touchpoints  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, engineering, IT, sales, and customer support teams  
  • Create motion graphics, animations, and video content to support marketing campaigns, product launches, internal communications, training initiatives, and trade shows  
  • Assist with onsite filming and content capture for events, products, training sessions, internal initiatives, and trade shows as needed 
  • Design and maintain email templates and internal communication graphics 
  • Maintain and coordinate internal messaging content for digital monitor platforms including Rise Vision  
  • Support website SEO best practices and assist with digital optimization efforts
  • Execute updates and improvements to website functionality, customer forms, landing pages, and user experiences  
  • Work within project management systems such as Asana to manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities  
  • Collaborate within Figma and other digital workflow tools to support design consistency and team collaboration 
  • Create and maintain organized production files, digital assets, and design systems 
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and external creative partners as needed 
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all branded digital customer touchpoints  
  • Provide design support for print creative, product photography, presentations, and additional marketing initiatives as needed 
  • Stay current on trends, technologies, and best practices in digital design, UX/UI, motion content, and web development 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Design, Graphic Design, Marketing Web Design, UX/UI, or related field
  • 7+ years of professional digital and/or marketing design experience 
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects 
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles  
  • Experience working within Figma and collaborative digital design workflows  
  • Experience using project management systems such as Asana  
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, accessibility standards, and digital user behavior  
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines  
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to take direction, adapt quickly, and execute efficiently 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency 
  • Ability to translate technical information into visually engaging and easy-to-understand communications  
  • Ability to work within structured systems, processes, and established brand standards
  • Occasional travel as necessary for creative assignments, trade shows events, filming, or vendor visits 

 Preferred: 

  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, and content capture 
  • Experience with JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, or jQuery  
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact  
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics  
  • Experience working within structured brand systems and digital asset management environments 

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing.
