Responsibilities

Reporting to the School Principal, Operations Associate, and/or his/her designee, the Operations Assistant is a unique role that is responsible for providing support for the day to day operations of the school. Overall, the Operations Assistant will serve as the backbone of the school's day to day operations. The individual will assist with parent and community communications, morning arrival and dismissal duties, daily operational logistics; lunchroom and/or bathroom supervision, etc. This role is perfect for an individual who likes to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.

  • Assist in setting a high-standard of operational excellence throughout the school building.
  • Support execution of school systems (i.e breakfast and lunch duty, morning arrival and afternoon dismissal assistance, etc.)
  • Assist in the creation and execution of school operational systems and structures that support the smooth operation of the school.
  • Monitor all student entrances/exits while using our student information systems and Scholarchip.
  • Provide administrative support including but not limited to data entry, making photocopies and taking inventory of and restocking supplies.
  • Assisting with the student registration process, including using Schoolmint, collecting documents, making phone calls. Support all recruitment efforts.
  • Answering phone calls, taking messages, placing outgoing calls, and sending mass communications when delegated.
  • Monitor student bathroom usage.
  • Assists in school based programs that promote student engagement, parent involvement and community outreach.
  • Assists in the ongoing enhancement of community programs developed to provide services to students.
  • Provides assistance to the Principal and other school staff in support of outreach efforts to the community; attendance calls, etc.
  • Participates in projects designed to increase engagement, opportunity and success for students, families, and the school community.
  • Improves and encourages participation in school-related community development programs.
  • Other duties as needed
