Position Summary

The Operations Assistant assists the Unit Manager and/or District Manager in the overall operations of a school and business dining unit while maintaining Quest’s high standards of excellence. This hourly position is accountable for all corporate daily / weekly and monthly paperwork required by the company to effectively running the unit

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services ensuring the Quest vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Quest vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis
  • Reports to scheduled shift on time and in complete uniform as outlined in the Quest team member handbook.
  • Performs Opening / Closing responsibilities of unit as required.
  • Completes weekly / monthly catering billing.
  • Must maintain open and effective communications with management and staff, catering customers, school faculty and staff, and Quest corporate management and office personnel.
  • Communicates with Unit Manager on all issues.
  • Assists & oversees cash control, daily deposits, logs, vending revenue, and prepayments (cash and online purchases)
  • Assists in new hire screening, coordination and submission of personnel files and new hire paperwork
  • Works with all management to maintain high levels of Service, Cleanliness, Food Quality, Assets Control, Marketing of lines, training and the gaining “Respect” of team members to reach these high standards.
  • Works with other Quest Managers/Directors as a team player when needed in other locations
  • Enters Invoices
  • Reviews payroll timecards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
