Position Overview:
Silco fire & Security is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an administrative assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for administering the permit application process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of new fire alarm and sprinkler suppression projects. This role begins at the completion of project design and includes filling out applications, delivering them to various building departments, organizing and tracking associated fees, permit pick-up, and overcoming any obstacles stopping the delivery of an approved permit. The position will work closely with design departments to provide the technical data and supervisors to provide the incoming workload and timelines. Developing a working relationship with the various northeast Ohio building departments will be a crucial development to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the company's customer database with accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.
  • Handling and tracking all permit functions for Service & Install.
  • Backflow document submittal and renewal for testers.
  • Tracking all equipment calibration and testing.

Qualifications:
  • Diligent and confident work ethic.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Salesforce and/or Sedona experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
