Title: Operations Assistant
Reports To: Operations Manager or Service Center Manager
Role Summary: Supports other Summit Team members by assisting the service center in all aspects of operations. Often acts as a liaison between corporate credit, finance, payroll and other departments and the Service Center. Exceptional service to external and internal customers is critical to the success of an Operations Assistant.
Principal Accountabilities: (essential job functions)
  • Able to accurately enter information into SAP (and other systems if necessary).
  • Prepares for annual and other audits as necessary.
  • Communicates with vendors and Associates to resolve operations issues as necessary.
  • Performs a variety of operation related functions, including organizing training sessions, entering data into SAP, approving invoices, coding expenses, filling in for others (including receptionists), and CSRs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and as necessary depending on the location.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Strong customer service orientation - both external and internal.
  • Keen eye for details, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must have excellent number perception skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent time management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility - ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, hectic work environment.
  • Committed to a "whatever it takes" attitude and approach to life and work.
  • Must be willing to learn additional roles on an as-needed basis.
  • H.S. education or GED equivalent required.

Beneficial Skills and Experience:
  • Accounting (A/P, A/R. G/L) experience in similar industry.
  • Previous successful experience in on office or administrative setting.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.

Physical Challenges:
  • Consistent sitting for many hours at one time. Majority of day (85%+) is spent sitting at desk.
  • Must be able to lift 5 pounds on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Regular and consistent use of keyboard.
  • Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
  • Majority of job is located inside store, during regular store hours of operation. Additional challenges may arise, at which time; Summit may revise this job description.
