What you will enjoy doing*
  • Provide expert monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis to resolve technical issues across the full Helium and Rare Gases production process, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized plant performance.
  • Advise on process design, equipment selection, engineering specifications, and applicable industry and internal standards.
  • Identify performance gaps or emerging risks and recommend corrective actions, process improvements, or design changes.
  • Maintain and update internal engineering, quality, and operational standards based on industry developments, lessons learned, safety events, and new technologies.
  • Ensure alignment of internal guidelines with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Lead or contribute to technical reviews, hazard assessments, and improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
  • Support Linde Engineering and Global Helium & Rare Gases teams throughout project development and execution by:
  • Providing accurate and complete process information.
  • Sharing internal lessons learned and operational insights.
  • Ensuring key technical requirements, specifications, and documentation are delivered on time.
  • Participate in design reviews, commissioning activities, and readiness assessments to ensure new assets meet safety, quality, and performance expectations.
  • Actively support He & RG facilities with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance planning, turnaround execution, and spare-parts strategy development.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to improve equipment reliability, extend asset life, and minimize unplanned outages.
  • Coordinate with central groups and suppliers to address technical issues related to critical equipment and process systems.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SHEQ guidelines and standards across Helium and Rare Gases operations.
  • Assist sites in understanding and applying safety, quality, and compliance requirements in daily operations.
  • Participate in internal and external SHEQ assessments, audits, and compliance reviews; follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all activities and interactions.

What makes you great
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in process engineering, operations support, or technical roles within industrial gases, petrochemicals, LNG, cryogenics, or specialty gas processing environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process design, troubleshooting, and optimization across complex, continuous production facilities.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of air separation, HyCO or Helium & Rare Gases processing preferred, including purification, liquefaction, compression, cryogenic systems, and product quality control, is considered a plus for the candidate.
  • Proven experience supporting operating plants, including reliability improvement, maintenance planning, turnarounds, and management of unplanned outages.
  • You have a solid understanding of SHEQ principles, including participation in hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA), incident investigations, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining engineering standards, specifications, and internal technical guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively support capital projects, including design reviews, commissioning, startup readiness, and interface with engineering contractors and vendors.
  • You have a strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams across multiple sites.
