IT Facets Configuration/Development Manager

Manager over the Facets Development team. Would be leading a team between 5-17 contractor and full time employees.

And we need world-class IT Facets Configuration/Development Managers, like you, to help us build our next generation customer experience. If you are located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones, you will have the flexibility to telecommute as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for direction, mentoring and follow up with the Business Configuration Team Leads and their team members
  • Mentor Business Configuration Leads to better help them develop their teams
  • Available to the Leads and Team members for removing barriers, getting clarity on projects at a high level
  • Follow up with Business Configuration Leads on email requests from the UHOne organization and direct as needed to ensure follow-up and closure of requests
  • Write and deliver Semi-Annual and Annual reviews for the Business Configuration team leads and their individual team members as deemed and approved by the Director
  • Provide review type feedback to Business Configuration contractors as deemed and approved by the Director
  • Work to integrate the BC Team into the Agile framework with the rest of the organization
  • Develop Policies & Procedures for BC work and processes that currently do not have them
  • Continue to work the CMU process so it runs smoothly and incorporates what is needed in each environment
  • Fill in for the Director when he is unable to attend meetings or is out of the office
  • Keep the Director informed at an agreed level, format, and frequency on what work the BC teams is allocated to and at a more detailed level on anything that involves a production issue or issue that is at a level that is visible to the organization as a whole
  • Work on and maintain the Resource Plan for the BC team to ensure we are staffed correctly and have availability to handle scheduled product configuration, "business as usual" support, BC Team PTO, and unforeseen projects & issues
  • Work with the BC Director to hire appropriate resources to fill positions in BC
  • Keep the organization updated and aware of all business configuration responsibilities, projects, tasks that affect other areas
  • Attend appropriate meetings to be able to lead the BC Team and keep them informed of changes to projects or priorities
  • Create a fun and exciting environment where the team can flourish
  • Work to provide Training and Cross Training within the BC Team
  • Provide feedback routinely to BC Leads and BC team members to positively reinforce good decisions and work accomplishments
  • Write and deliver Semi-Annual and Annual reviews to the individual BC team members as deemed and approved by the Director
  • Provide review type feedback to Contractors as deemed and approved by the Director

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Facets Systems Analysis or Configuration Analysis, Design, Documentation, Development & testing
  • 7+ years of experience translating business requirements into detailed system specifications
  • Experience managing Facets/IT professionals
  • High degree of technical expertise in Microsoft Office (including word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access), MS Visio
  • Willing and able to travel to the Indianapolis, IN office 25% (1 week per month)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • FACETS configuration in one or more of the following areas: Claims Processing, Product / Benefit Configuration, Group, Plan, Provider, Pricing, Subscriber/Member, Utilization Management, Finance, Billing, Accounting, Customer service, workflow, HIPAA Gateway, security
  • Professional experience as a Systems Analyst integrating FACETS in an enterprise architecture
  • Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
  • High level understanding of how system standard operating processes (SOPs) and policies are created
  • Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodology
