For over 41 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit, community-based hospice in the area, serving patients and families across 11 North Texas counties. Our team provides care wherever our patients call home, including private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and our free-standing 24-bed inpatient center.

Your life as Director of Development:

As Director of Development, your work will be vital to the future of Hospice of Wichita Falls. You will help plan, organize, and direct philanthropic giving from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners so we can continue serving patients and families regardless of their financial circumstances.

This role leads key development efforts, including donor stewardship, major gifts, fundraising campaigns, special events, grant opportunities, and community engagement. You will strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities for support, and help encourage a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.

You will work closely with leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, community partners, and the Development Team to meet fundraising goals and support the long-term mission of Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Our schedules are generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday; however, this position will include events and community functions outside of normal business hours.

Job Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent directly related experience.

A minimum of three years of successful, direct fundraising experience is preferred. Healthcare setting preferred.

A proven track record of developing, managing, and maintaining successful relationships is required, as is the ability to be an excellent spokesperson for the organization.

Experience working in a dynamic setting, managing multiple projects and staff, is required.

Capital Campaign and Major Gifts experience is strongly preferred.
