Weโ€™re seeking a Laboratory Managerย to lead the lab at our NEW Community Hospital.
Here you'll lead the effortsย to oversee our hospital laboratory operations. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality laboratory services while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.ย

Essential Responsibilities

  • Direct daily laboratory operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
  • Monitor workload across functional areas to maintain productivity
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, laboratory staff, and Medical Director on patient care
  • Manage laboratory information systems
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Lead staff recruitment, training, and development
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in quality assurance programs
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Coordinate with pathologists on compliance and documentation
  • Oversee proficiency testing and performance reviews
  • Participate in laboratory, hospital, quality, and pathology meetings


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biology
  • Minimum two years of management, supervisor, or team lead experience
  • ASCP/AMT certification preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Understanding of infection control and laboratory safety protocols
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience with laboratory information systems
  • Proven track record in team leadership and project management
  • Normal color vision required (ability to distinguish faint lines and color variations)
