  • Under the direction of the Laboratory Director the Laboratory Manager oversees the daily operations of their department(s).
  • Manages staffing needs of the department by helping the team prioritize the work and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Responsible for developing department(s) operational budget and productivity performance, reviewing variances and leveraging resources to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Supports implementation of market specific and/or enterprise level changes through effective leadership and change management.
  • Ensures their department(s) and the laboratory meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
  • Uses data and leverages best practices whenever possible to solve problems and investigate quality concerns
  • May be required to assist with frontline collections, processing

Education:  

  • Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution is required.

Experience:  

  • 4 years of clinical laboratory experience is required.
  • 1 year of previous leadership experience within a clinical laboratory is preferred.
