Austin Preparatory School, located in Reading, Massachusetts about 20 miles north of Boston, has an immediate opening for the position of Development Associate. Founded in 1961, Austin Prep is a Catholic independent co-ed school serving students in grades 6-12. Austin Prep has a talented faculty of approximately 75 that administers a challenging curriculum that prepares students well for success in high school and college.

The Development Associate reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the department, including all administrative tasks associated with the school’s fundraising and alumni engagement activities. The role of the Development Associate is critical to the department, as this individual is responsible for all gift entry, reporting, and donor acknowledgements, and will support all development and alumni events. This position requires an individual with a keen attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb organization, the ability to multitask, and the desire to work collaboratively with all members of the department.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience working in a professional setting, preferably academic.
  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal.
