YOUR DAY TO DAY:
Design, analysis and documentation of vacuum electron devices from concept to production. Presentation of design to high-level customers at Prime Contractors and DOW. Run FEA, FDTD and PIC codes for design of VEDs. Responsible for yield improvement, corrective actions and other activities supporting production
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
  • Design, analyze and document from concept to production
  • Present designs to high-level customers
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
  • PhD in Physics (Vacuum Electron Devices). Strong background in experimental physics
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, plasma & microwave theory
  • Understanding of materials and vacuum science
  • Experience with Finite Element, Time Domain and Particle-In-Cell codes
  • 3D CAD modeling
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with other functional groups as well as suppliers
  • U.S. Citizenship and are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Salary Range $77,400 - $122,170 / year
