Development Associate

Named by the Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a dedicated Development Associate to join its growing Advancement Team. Our not-for-profit hospice and palliative care organization has an opportunity for a self-motivated, resourceful individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community outreach, education, and advocacy for hospice and palliative care, with a strong commitment to racial equity and bridging healthcare disparities.

Job Responsibilities:

The Development Associate supports philanthropic growth as a member of the Advancement Team by helping with fundraising initiatives and activities. The Development Associate helps to build and manage philanthropic relationships with donors, Corporate Champions, and other supporters, fostering ongoing engagement, stewardship, and visibility to ensure continued participation and support. The Development Associate participates as a member of the Development Committee and supports event planning committees and volunteers during fundraising campaigns and events. 

Schedule and Weekly Hours:

Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm/9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • College degree with a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare marketing, or other relevant experience. 
  • Resourceful and well-organized professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging donors, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Experience in event coordination, including logistics, vendor management, and sponsor relations, with a strong customer service orientation and focus on relationship building and stewardship.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Google suite applications, spreadsheets and database management systems (RENxT a plus).

Pay Range:
$42,000 - $48,000: This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.
