Job description

Design Operations Associate
 
Reports To: Design Operations Manager/VP Design Operations and PLM Management
 
Overview:
The Design Operations Associate will work closely with cross functional partners to ensure consistent and accurate workflow across all brands.
 
Key Accountabilities:
• Check and oversee tech packs for all details throughout the season
• Facilitate the uploading of tech packs inclusive of spec pages, and artwork for sourcing 
• Ensure all production package requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner 
• Meet all deadlines in adherence to the design calendar
• Work directly with Design, Technical, and Sourcing on all seasonal style specifications
• Maintain Design Standards across specified brand(s)
• Attend and participate in fittings and ensure changes/updates are executed within tech packs and communicated to Sourcing/Overseas Offices
• Resolve pre-production and production issues by partnering with both design and 
sourcing/production/PA/TD to ensure design’s intent is met 
• Manage daily communication with Overseas Offices/Factories and expedite resolutions to issues in a concise and timely manner
• Communicate and confirm updates/changes to styles to Souring Team
• Coordinate any additional materials needed for Production
• Communicate on workload, solve for solutions, and elevate issues
• Attend and participate in Daily Team meetings and Training sessions
• Special projects as assigned
 
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field
• 2+ years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant or Associate
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
• Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign)
 
Salary: 65-75k (On-site)
