About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

At Salesforce, our content design teams aspire to make products that people love. Apps that make a service agent's day more productive, a sales campaign more impactful, and solutions across industries more usable and scalable. Behind our great products are amazing global teams of content designers, who work closely with other talented UX professionals. We're motivated to know our customers deeply, craft thoughtful and useful product experiences, lead strategic design initiatives, leverage AI, and establish meaningful cross-functional partnerships. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a program manager!

Responsibilities

The Content Design (CDX) team is looking for a self-starting, organized, and experienced content design manager. You will partner with leadership across our content experience and design organization and establish strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders to build resourcing models, size and track release work, determine best practices, and align teams in a lean and agile environment. This role requires someone who is a relationship builder and a strategic thinker with a systems mindset. You're comfortable in ambiguity, fluent in user experience and software delivery, and want to empower the CDX team in a sustainable and healthy way.

As part of the CDX team, you will operationalize how the Apps and Industries organization delivers high-quality design. You must be comfortable using AI on a daily basis for workflows and upleveling teams with vibe prototyping. You'll create rituals that foster team connection, a shared purpose, and a collaborative community. You'll drive new processes and frameworks that help the team define, prioritize and allocate its work, and identify and share best practices across teams. You'll liaise with UX design leadership and build strong partnerships with stakeholders. You will be the point-of-contact for a network of business units and functions and own regular communications up, down, and out to assure alignment and clarity. Lastly, you'll be the strategic operational partner across multiple regions, managing training programs, and organizing presentations for partner audiences.

Requirements

  • Outstanding partnership, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. The ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, matrixed environment, and work across multiple departments and business units.

  • Experience partnering directly with product management and engineering teams with an understanding of their priorities, constraints, and how design and content experience informs their work streams.

  • Fluent with AI and prototyping to improve operations. Strong systems mindset and a focus on building CDX systems so that the tools used by engineering and design have content styles and guidelines ready to apply.

  • Thorough familiarity with how content design gets done. Understand what happens when and why, what natural dependencies exist, and when it's OK to be visionary (and when it's not).

  • Ability to learn and master internal tools to ensure content design work is properly represented and tracked, and contribute new tools and processes to make work more visible to the entire organization.

  • Superb communication skills that shine in person and across multiple mediums. The talent to tell a story, advocate for a project or program, and facilitate understanding to different audiences at the appropriate level.

  • Strong understanding of what it takes to ship software at scale. Experience running projects using agile and/or scrum processes, and understand development teams (i.e., roles, responsibilities, and how they interact).

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • At least 7 years experience working in enterprise software in any combination of content design, design ops, or program management roles.

  • An internal compass that points towards ethics and equality, and the conviction to speak up if we stray off-course.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers and managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity.

  • Experience running training events and programs for internal teams.

  • Skilled at thinking in systems, not just single-purpose products, services, or apps.

  • Designing for or with generative AI systems and tools.

  • A related technical degree required.

  • A desire to be your authentic self in the workplace.

  • A desire to collaborate with individuals and teams with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and working styles.
