Role Overview

Jaque Bethke Design is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support the execution, coordination, and operational flow of design projects across all phases.

This role is heavily execution and operations focused, helping ensure that sourcing, pricing, documentation, procurement, coordination, and project follow-through move efficiently while senior leadership focuses on creative direction and client experience.

Core Responsibilities

Design Execution & Project Support

  • Support design projects from concept through installation
  • Assist with sourcing furniture, finishes, lighting, fabrics, and materials
  • Prepare and organize materials for client presentations and internal reviews
  • Support drawings, layouts, modeling, and visualizations using REVIT, BIM workflows, D5, Lumion, and related platforms
  • Assist with project coordination, specifications, and technical documentation


Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Request and track quotes from vendors and showrooms
  • Maintain accurate pricing, specifications, and project documentation
  • Place orders and track lead times, deliveries, logistics, and follow-through
  • Coordinate communication with vendors, fabricators, consultants, and internal teams
  • Help identify delays, inconsistencies, or missing information proactively


Operations, Organization & Workflow Support

  • Maintain organized project files, sample libraries, schedules, and documentation
  • Track deliverables, timelines, approvals, and project updates
  • Ensure all project information remains accurate, current, and accessible
  • Assist with installations, site coordination, and onsite project support as needed
  • Support day-to-day design operations and internal workflows
  • Help maintain organization and momentum across multiple active projects


Communication & Execution

  • Support communication and coordination across teams and project stakeholders
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving project needs
  • Help leadership and project teams stay organized and aligned
  • Assist in solving operational and coordination challenges proactively


What This Role Is Not

  • Architectural liability or technical sign-off authority

These functions are handled by senior leadership, project management, and technical leads.

  • 3+ years of experience in design support, procurement coordination, interior design operations, or related roles preferred

  • Background or strong interest in interior architecture, interior design, or technical design workflows
  • Comfortable working within high-performance, in-person environments
  • Willingness and availability to travel based on project and installation needs
