**This position can be filled as an Engineer I , II , III , Sr or Sr. Lead based on experience.**
Job Summary/Purpose
Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and other station departments. Maintains configuration control for the plant.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Supports Maintenance, Operations, and other organizations on site in resolution of plant issues which stem from significant events or complex plant equipment problems
  • Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties.
  • Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost effective maintenance strategies. Issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues.
  • Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle.
  • Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes. Supports changes in system configuration/design and design basis.
  • Develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures. Participates in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages.
  • Serves on outage engineering support teams. Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree generally associated with power plant operations in the field of civil and structural design or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
  • Engineer I: 0 - 2 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
  • Engineer II: 2 - 3 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
  • Engineer III: 3 - 4 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
  • Sr. Engineer - 4 - 5 years experience in nuclear design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
  • Sr. Lead - 6+ years experience in nuclear design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level and evaluation of past positions

Desired: Civil , Structural , and Piping experience. Experience with codes and standards (ie; IWE/IWL , ASME, Piping)
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and Operations and Maintenance departments.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position
Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering license.
