The Math & Science Teacher at Donum Dei Classical Academy teaches Math, Science, and Logic through a classical education lens, integrating hands-on learning and preparing students for high school. This role also includes supporting extracurricular programs like Math Club and Science Fair, and contributing to school-wide initiatives and professional growth.
Ideal Candidate
A rigorous, inquiry-minded teacher who develops logical reasoning and scientific understanding in the Logic stage. They combine clear instruction with Socratic engagement to form thoughtful, faithful scholars.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Pursue the ACSI Teacher Certification, Classical Educator Equivalent, CA Teacher Credential, or Master's in Classical Education within two years of initial employment.

Experience
Professional working experience in relevant field(s).

Key Responsibilities
Math Teacher
  • Teach Math courses, modeling classical education principles.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, syllabi, and curriculum materials.
  • Maintain grades and assessments through FACTS and provide student progress reports.
  • Communicate with parents and students regarding assignments and expectations.
  • Integrate hands-on learning through labs, experiments, and logic exercises.
  • High School Preparation: Ensure students are academically prepared for high school through a well-structured curriculum.
  • Extracurricular Programs: Develop and supervise Math Club and Math Olympics.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in accreditation reviews and self-study initiatives.
  • Contribute to school-wide events, professional development, and strategic planning.
