Job description

Every day, we work to strengthen the financial security of our clients and investors. Joining our organization means becoming part of a dedicated team that values discipline, accountability, and the meaningful impact of our work.
As a Sales Data Operations Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, validating, and enriching data across multiple providers to support our U.S. and Canadian retail businesses. Your oversight ensures that our sales organization has reliable and comprehensive insight into client transactions and holdings across mutual funds, separate accounts and ETFs. This role requires a high degree of rigor in managing external service providers, maintaining process integrity, and supporting informed decision-making at all levels of the business.
This is a player/coach position: you will set direction while also managing critical processes, vendor relationships, and advanced data analysis to ensure service delivery standards are met.
Core Responsibilities
  • Direct the relationship with external service providers (e.g. SS&C SalesConnect, Broadridge, ...), ensuring service-level agreements and contractual obligations are consistently met. Review and approve configuration settings, business rules, and territory updates.

  • Establish and maintain reconciliation processes that validate data accuracy against books of record, ensuring integrity through each stage of the acquisition and aggregation process. Provide reliability metrics to stakeholders, including sales management, finance, and senior leadership.

  • Oversee the documentation of team processes and procedures, approving exceptions such as overrides and territory changes.

  • Partner with distribution partners and product teams to identify and integrate new data sources into existing reporting structures.

  • Collaborate with U.S. sales management to define data requirements and deliver solutions that support proactive sales engagement and responsive business decision-making.

  • Provide guidance to internal associates, particularly in the interpretation and use of sales data.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in data acquisition, vendor engagement, and downstream reporting.

  • Prepare and deliver concise presentations to senior management, summarizing key findings, issues, and recommendations.

  • Demonstrate proactive communication and problem-solving to quickly identify, escalate, and resolve issues impacting service or data quality.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management data operations or related fields, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Demonstrated success in managing external service providers, including escalation to senior leadership when necessary.

  • Strong understanding of trading systems, intermediary distribution and managed account platforms, shareholder accounting, and operational transaction systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data management practices, stewardship, and relational database principles.

  • Proven ability to analyze large data sets, perform reallocations, and deliver actionable business insights.

  • Strong business acumen with direct experience in mutual fund operations.

  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to senior leadership.

  • Skilled in setting goals, coaching teams, and aligning work with organizational objectives.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Commitment to discretion and confidentiality in all client and business interactions.
