Job description

Denison University seeks a Program Coordinator, Data Operations to keep the work of our cross-divisional Data and Decision Support team moving. This role sits at the operational center of a growing, collaborative data program: you will intake and monitor projects, maintain team coordination tools and documentation, and manage the prioritization and governance of functional data reporting. You will also lead the Data Student Intern Program by recruiting, training, and assigning project work to Denison students building careers in data. We're looking for an organized, proactive coordinator who enjoys creating structure, communicating across teams, and helping others do their best work.
Department/Division Overview:
The Program Coordinator joins Denison's Data and Decision Support team, a cross-divisional collaboration between Data Governance, Institutional Research, and Reporting & Data Architecture. Together, we partner with colleagues, teams, and departments to support institutional data efforts that improve operations, guide strategic initiatives, and inform leadership decisions, fostering an informed, supported, and connected data culture that advances the university's mission and supports student success. Working across all three offices and with campus partners, the coordinator keeps projects, reporting needs, and information moving efficiently across the team.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and Support project intake, prioritization, planning, and tracking; maintain project plans, timelines, and coordination tools; schedule and support project meetings;
  • Prepare agendas and meeting materials; document decisions, action items, and next steps; follow up with project participants to monitor progress and keep deliverables on track; and facilitate communication across teams.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of interns; assign and oversee project work; track hours; support program evaluation.
  • Manage the intake and governance of data reporting requests; route and track requests; support governance and change management processes.
  • Prepare status updates and presentations; coordinate logistics and timelines with campus partners; provide administrative support for the operation.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
One or more years in project coordination or program administration.
Strong organization and communication; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, with coursework or experience in data, analytics, or project management.
Higher education experience.
Experience supervising or mentoring student employees.
