Keeping the human in AI. mpathic is a trusted leader in AI Safety offering human services in red teaming, trust & safety, central rating and monitoring for clinical trials and expert data annotation for LLM builders. Our reviewers have specialization in behavioral analysis, conversational design, mental health, psychiatry, social services and clinical trial settings.
We are a Series A VC-backed start-up with notable investors including Foundry.vc and Next Frontier Capital.
We are looking for someone who loves people, operations, and building a company. The Human Data Operations Manager will own the recruitment and onboarding and management of our expert pool for client projects. This role provides support and maintains relationships with our experts. Since we are a startup, we also expect that this role will take an outsized role in building how we manage and grow our expert pool. This role reports to the VP of Clinical AI.
About You:
  • You want to continuously learn and make systems and processes better and better.
  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves, pick up the phone and problem solve to ensure that day-to-day operations hum smoothly.
  • You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • You may have a background in Human Resources (HR) or People or Operations, and you see a path to becoming a HR Business Partner or a leader in Business Operations.
  • You are excited to work in a fast-paced environment (we are an early stage startup!) and you are motivated, growth-minded and have the resilience to meet ambitious targets
  • You have at least 2-4 years experience in a recruiting, HR, or operations role.
  • You are based in and around Seattle, Washington.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Source & recruit experts: Sources new applicants based on gaps in our expert pool, often under tight deadlines
  • Manage talent pipelines: Reviews expert applications, conducts interviews, negotiates hourly rate with new experts
  • Manage recruiting materials: Works with Marketing to publish externally facing recruitment materials to drive growth
  • Own expert onboarding: Ensures new experts have signed appropriate documents, completed relevant training requirements, and serve as the communication point of contact
  • Build relationships: Engages and maintains strong connections with experts to ensure long-term collaboration
  • Collaborate with Finance: Approves expert hours for client invoicing and payments
  • Collaborates across the Human Data team as key person to ensure high quality delivery

Compensation:
Base Pay + Equity + Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this role is $75,000-110,000. Any offered base pay is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
Following our Equal Pay Commitment, we have salary banding and established vesting schedules for equity.
