Shift Details: 6am-6pm W/Th/Fri alternating Sat Holidays: Yes Weekends: Yes (12 hour shifts)

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for day-to-day activities associated with job processing, data backup, real-time system monitoring, and physical site maintenance for Froedtert & Community Health's Information Systems. Will be required to quickly respond to server and network issues of varying level of severity and escalate issues to appropriate personnel as required. This position will also have responsibility for responding to problems and questions from system end users regarding the functionality, performance and availability of their IT equipment and/or business applications. Will work closely with Manager to ensure that the Computer Operations function delivers at a service level consistent with the expectations of IT department's senior management. Position works to improve or maintain a high level of Computer Operations performance through the use of generally accepted II best practices. Works with other IT department staff to ensure proper communication of information that may directly or indirectly impact the users of the various information systems. Works closely and professionally with Operations team members to promote teamwork and accountability. Must provide updates regarding the key issues and works to resolve problems in an efficient and effective manner. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of relevant Computer Operations and customer service experience is required. Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred. Experience with IT Management Software Monitoring Tools is preferred. Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools is preferred

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Associate degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Computer Science or related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

This position is part of a 24/7 Operations Center, including after-hours, weekends and holiday coverage. Flexibility in scheduling is required, to meet with staff on various shifts. Ability to prioritize and execute in high-pressure situations. Remains calm under pressure. Highly motivated and ability to operate under limited supervision. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory account management. Broad knowledge of IT services, applications and infrastructure. Strong computer skills utilizing and supporting MS Office and MS Exchange/Outlook. Good interpersonal skills in communications with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and IT staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Solid capabilities working to plan and meeting deadlines. Willingness to learn and improve. Keeps current on technology through publications, self-education, and seminars on an ongoing basis. Develop skills in analytical acumen: basic project management capabilities, team work, critical thinking, communication, continuous process improvement.
