Operations Manager

Position Overview

A growing marketing services and branded merchandise organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead end-to-end operational functions and ensure seamless execution of customer orders and projects. This role oversees production, fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, vendor relationships, and process improvement initiatives to support exceptional customer experiences and business growth.

The Operations Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to established quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This position reports directly to executive leadership and requires onsite presence across multiple operational facilities. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across production, fulfillment, logistics, and vendor management.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize operational workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Manage production schedules, timelines, and resource allocation for customer orders.
  • Partner with sales, account management, and creative teams to support successful project execution.
  • Identify and resolve production, fulfillment, and operational issues while implementing corrective actions.
  • Support inventory management processes, including stock tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, production partners, and fulfillment providers.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service levels to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor operational budgets, job costing, and profitability metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Prepare operational reports and key performance indicators for leadership review.
  • Lead, coach, and support operations team members.
  • Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Promote workplace safety and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
  • Support technology adoption, inventory systems, and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth efforts.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of project operations management, project management, or related leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of production, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills working a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP, inventory management, or related business systems.

Preferred

  • Experience working in manufacturing, print, branded merchandise, marketing services, fulfillment, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, procurement, and fulfillment platforms.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience.
