Job description

Krispy Kreme's Data Integration Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data integration solutions, creating robust data integration pipelines that connect B2B systems, enterprise applications, and multiple cloud data platforms. You will be working closely with internal and external business partners, database administrators and application developers to implement data integration solutions that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Maintain and update integration applications, ensuring their operational readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement effective integration solutions.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist end-users and other teams with data integration-related queries and challenges.
  • Ability to work on multiple parallel efforts and adjust focus based on business needs
  • Adhere to security and data governance standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Work to evolve legacy solutions toward a modern, cloud-based data architecture.
  • Develop and implement canonical data models to standardize data representation across multiple systems.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of best-in-class technologies.
  • Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and optimize integration processes to achieve high-quality, reliable data flow.
  • When data discrepancies or errors arise, they will work closely with the team to diagnose and address them promptly.
  • Identify and resolve gaps between business requirements and existing solutions.
  • Help to shape the organization's data integration practices by providing insights and recommendations to ensure the delivery of high quality and supportable solutions.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and relational databases.
  • Experience in creating context and sequence diagrams to depict data pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns to create reusable, maintainable, and efficient data processing solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in utilizing third party Rest APIs for integration of external data.
  • Strong proficiency in full stack of ETL/ELT technology tools including SQL Server, Snowflake, Python, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
  • 5+ years related working experience.
  • Understanding of Snowflake Data Cloud data ingestion, transformation methods, error handling, and data sharing is a plus.
  • Proven history of delivering highly scalable solutions and integrations.
  • Experience in the Retail and/or Restaurant (QSR) industry is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to function in a mixed technical environment, leveraging both SaaS and custom in-house developed solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
