We have a deep expertise in episode pricing and analytics and our goal is to bring transparency and efficiency to the healthcare market. Our company is committed to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to our customers.
Role Description
The Healthcare Data Integration Lead is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of external healthcare data integrations at Oxbridge Health. This role owns the technical implementation and day-to-day operation of data exchanges with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), provider networks, and other healthcare partners.
You will define and manage external data contracts, maintain partner-specific file and API specifications, translate external data into Oxbridge's canonical data model, and ensure timely, accurate, and reliable delivery of data to internal consumers including Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Clinical, and Machine Learning teams.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining software engineering, data integration, and partner collaboration, with a clear growth path toward leading the Data Integration function.
Responsibilities
  • Own technical integrations with TPAs, provider networks, and other external healthcare partners.
  • Own the ingestion, lifecycle, and governance of provider, network, and reference data used across the platform.
  • Define, maintain, and version partner integration specifications, including file layouts, APIs, schemas, and data contracts.
  • Lead onboarding of new partners and manage changes to existing integrations while minimizing downstream impact.
  • Collaborate directly with partner technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve production data exchange issues.
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and timely delivery of healthcare data across all integrations.

Canonical Data & Integration Engineering
  • Design and maintain mappings from partner-specific formats into Oxbridge's canonical data model.
  • Define reusable integration patterns for file-based, API-based, and event-driven data exchange.
  • Build and enhance ingestion services supporting validation, transformation, reconciliation, and processing workflows.
  • Maintain backward compatibility as partner formats and business requirements evolve.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure internal consumers receive consistent, well-defined data.

Data Operations & Reliability
  • Operate and support production ingestion pipelines for external healthcare data.
  • Monitor integration health, data quality, and delivery SLAs.
  • Implement validation, reconciliation, duplicate detection, and error recovery processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production integration issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external partners.
  • Improve observability through monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and operational runbooks.

Data Quality & Governance
  • Establish standards for external data quality, validation, and canonical mapping.
  • Ensure incoming data is complete, accurate, and consistent before being consumed by downstream systems.
  • Partner with Operations, Analytics, Clinical, and Product teams to continuously improve data quality.
  • Ensure all integrations comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare data regulations.
  • Deliver trusted, standardized datasets that enable Operations, Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning teams.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for healthcare data integrations.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, Analytics, and external organizations to define integration priorities and resolve complex data challenges.
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in integration engineering and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to hiring, process improvements, and the evolution of the Data Integration function.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare integration engineering, backend engineering, data engineering, or similar roles.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating partner integrations using file-based (CSV, JSON, XML) and API-based data exchanges.
  • Strong experience with data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), canonical data modeling, and validation frameworks to ensure accurate and reliable data exchange.
  • Experience operating production data pipelines with a focus on reliability, observability, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience defining integration contracts and collaborating directly with external partners.
  • Strong SQL and AWS experience (S3, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Glue).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
