JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Setting up objects, equipment, or cameras/scanners

  • Scanning or photographing items from different angles

  • Making sure the scans/images meet quality rules

  • Labeling and uploading the captured data

  • Recording measurements and notes

  • Repeating the process many times to create huge datasets

  • Reporting when something looks wrong or canโ€™t be scanned properly

Role: Create large unique data sets to train the machine learning algorithms

Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly repetitive tasks to provide data to the machine learning algorithm

  • Ensure data points captured adhere to set standards provided by the company

  • Identify anomalies in material or scan-ability and report to supervisor

  • Adapt to the changing requirements of ongoing projects

  • Run simple scripts via Linux to trigger data capture and upload

  • Protect data from unauthorized personnel through preventative measures

  • Escalate security incidents (such as an interaction with a member of the public) immediately to our Security team

  • Update the internal tracking software between each data point captured

  • Maintain an organized work environment and cautious handling of production equipment

  • Assist in exploration stages of various projects

  • Update data in spreadsheets (Google Sheets) when requested

  • Change artifacts displayed for scanning and adjusting configuration of equipment as needed

  • Occasionally move equipment to required locations for capture (Equipment generally does not exceed more than 50 lbs)

  • Providing detailed feedback in written and oral form when unexpected events occur

  • Flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors in fair weather conditions as requested

  • Use measuring tools to provide an accurate account of objectโ€™s position in relation to a set point

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Education: Associate's degree from a technical or community college, BS degree

  • preferred

  • 1+ years in office/professional environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing

  • Comfortability working with computers

  • Familiarity with Linux basic operating system

  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability/willingness to perform highly (repetitive) tasks

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to adapt to work process changes

  • Must be comfortable standing and moving about, carrying objects for a 7.5 hour shift (Weight limit?)

  • Must be comfortable in a range of indoor lighting levels from almost dark to bright light

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs


Pay Details: $24.03 per hour
