Job description

The Player Development & Performance Intern supports the daily operations and athlete development systems within a high-performance training environment. This role combines administrative support, athlete data tracking, and on-field/on-floor assistance while providing direct exposure to professional-level preparation, structure, and leadership.

This is a development-focused position designed for individuals who want to grow in the areas of performance training, athlete management, and leadership within a structured, faith-centered environment.


Core Responsibilities

Athlete Support & Operations

  • Assist in the execution of daily training sessions (setup, flow, and breakdown)
  • Support athlete check-ins, scheduling, and communication
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment

Performance Data & Tracking

  • Collect and organize athlete performance data (throwing, mobility, strength, recovery)
  • Track weekly progress, habits, and development benchmarks
  • Assist in building simple reports for athlete feedback and progression

Administrative & Personal Support

  • Assist with day-to-day operational tasks and logistics
  • Support scheduling, planning, and coordination of sessions
  • Help maintain systems that improve efficiency and consistency

Observation & Learning

  • Shadow professional-level training, preparation, and recovery routines
  • Observe coaching cues, athlete communication, and session structure
  • Learn foundational principles of player development, leadership, and accountability
