Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Westfield, MA

Westfield Electroplating Company is seeking a knowledgeable Customer Service Representative.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be a liaison between our customer and manufacturing floor. Your responsibility is to communicate customer requests internally.

The communication will take many forms including face to face, telephone, electronic and written correspondence. Effective communication is a critical skill that this position requires. Our customer production scheduling software will need to be mastered so that you can efficiently collect information and generate status reports. Once the status reports are generated you will need to follow up with each department to verify that everything is moving forward as planned.

The volume of phone calls is very high; you will need to be friendly but efficient in order to keep other customers from becoming frustrated while waiting on hold. The ability to communicate effectively is a key skill to master to be successful in this position.

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Pull customer status reports.

  • Follow up on jobs by meeting with the group leaders to make sure the jobs are on track to ship as scheduled (per the scheduled ship dates, status reports and conversations with customers)

  • Email the reports to customers.

  • Receiving a high volume of phone calls, many expedite requests and looking into what we can to meet their requests.

  • Keeping the lines of communication open between the different departments and our customers

  • Associate degree or High is preferred.

Pay Rate and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00
