Position: Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth initiatives and expand client relationships across key markets. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, leading capture efforts, and positioning the firm for successful project pursuits. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder with a strong understanding of the A/E/C industry and a track record of developing and winning work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth across targeted markets and client segments.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities aligned with firm capabilities and strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead capture planning efforts, including win strategies, teaming approaches, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop proposals, SOQs, and interview presentations.
  • Support and participate in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Track opportunities, client interactions, and pipeline activity within CRM systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers and technical leads to ensure alignment between business development efforts and project execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy.
  • Mentor junior business development or marketing staff and support team growth.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in business development, client management, or related roles within the A/E/C industry.
  • Proven track record of developing client relationships and contributing to successful project pursuits.
  • Strong understanding of public and/or private sector procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing day-to-day business development activities.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and tracking pipelines.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client development and industry engagement.
  • Pre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.
