Job Description
Alabama State University, Office of Financial Aid, invites applications to the fill the Customer Care Assistant position. The selected candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellent student/customer support by providing general financial aid information to students and the public through incoming telephone calls, receiving and routing calls and mail, face to face interactions, and assisting with clerical duties to support the financial aid staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Frequently greet and communicate with students, administration, staff, faculty, and other persons visiting the office
  • Regularly exchange accurate information in various situations
  • Establish and maintain accurate and current files of letters, reports, records and other documentary materials, and ensure that information in these files are kept confidential
  • Perform general office duties, recommend methods for improving office procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, 3 years of general office experience to include excellent customer service and communication skills, basic computer skills, multi-line telephone systems and telephone etiquette, Microsoft Office, and other general office equipment required.
